Buchhorn from ????? to Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil

The ship "Brigue Triunfo" arrived the harbour of Porto Alegre on November 29, 1846. Porto Alegre is located in the state Rio Grande do Sul, deep in the south of Brazil. The emigrant Ludwig Wilhelm Buchhorn was onboard.
Following remarks about the ship are available: The "Brigue Triunfo" was a two-masted sailing boat and was only used for the passage between Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre.
A little bit myterious. When and where did Mr. Buchhorn arrive Brazil?
From where he came is also unclear. There are 2 possibilities:
Church registers in Brazil insists that he was born in Berlin and his parents were Wilhelm Buchhorn und Anna Maria Schwarz. The database of "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" tells another story. It mentioned a Wilhelm Ludewig Buchhorn from Herne. His parents were Johann Buchhorn and Anna Marie Schwarzen.
The Buchhorn from Berlin was born on 10 Oct 1808 and the Buchhorn from Herne on 06 Oct 1808.
The Berlin city directories don't know Wilhelm or Wilhelm Ludwig Buchhorn. All these must still be cleared.

Wilhelm Ludwig married a Katharina Wild in Sao Leopoldo on 16 Apr 1847.

  Brazil, South-Amerika

Following children belong to the family:
Magdalene Katharine Buchhorn, born in Estância Velha on 16 Mai 1848.
Elisabetha Buchhorn, born in Campo Bom on 10 Jun 1849.
Maria Barbara Buchhorn, born in Campo Bom on 15 Jan 1851.
Johann Wilhelm Ludwig Buchhorn, born in Porto Alegre on 24. September 1853.
The father Wilhelm Ludwig Buchhorn is described as Tobacco manufacturer.
Manoel Buchhorn, born in Camaquã on 28 March 1859

The first names of the son Johann Wilhelm Ludwig are interesting. It was tradition to give the son the names of the father and grandfather. The grandfather in Herne was called Johann. So it's probable that the family came from Herne.

Following information can be reported about Maria Barbara Buchhorn:
Maria (She is called Marcia in the marriage register) married a Geraldo Perez Da Silva on 12 Oct 1889. The marriage took place in São João Batista, Camaquã, Rio Grande Do Sul.
Their son Augusto da Silva was born on 15 August 1893 and was baptised also at São João Batista, Camaquã on 26 November 1898.

Mr. Renato Franzen, Vice-President of the administration of the "Instituto Genealógico do Rio Grande do Sul" was a huge help in finding information about this family.

Information about the immigration to Brazil can be read on Wikipedia.

Who knows more? Who can provide pictures?
